Now in its 24th year, the AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards identify the most satisfying vehicles in the market by objectively measuring owner satisfaction with 27 individual attributes ranging from driving performance to seating comfort and interior design. For 2020, AutoPacific’s annual New Vehicle Satisfaction award surveyed over 73,000 new car and light truck owners in an attempt to provide consumers with unbiased insight into which vehicles are providing owners with the most satisfying experience.
This year’s awards bring a couple of important distinctions for Lincoln, as the brand received the highest score in the overall brand rankings, while the Lincoln Navigator earned the top spot in the luxury SUV segment for the second year in a row.
As a brand, Lincoln achieved top ratings for quietness, ride, handling, and safety features, while high ratings were also awarded in the power and acceleration attributes. Meanwhile, Lincoln owners’ rating for Brand Reputation was tied with Lexus, Mercedes and Volvo, among luxury brands.
The Lincoln Navigator earned a top satisfaction score from owners for its impressive power and acceleration, as well as its thoughtful gauges and controls – a model for simplicity in a segment where button overload due to high feature content is often challenging. The Navigator also earned accolades for the range and highway fuel economy provided by its Ford 3.5L EcoBoost V6, along with its bold styling and sanctuary-like interior.
“The Lincoln team is dedicated to creating exceptional products and effortless ownership experiences, and this is a testament to our commitment,” said Michael Sprague, North America director, Lincoln. “Being awarded the highest satisfaction for the overall brand is an honor, and the Navigator showcases the very best of Lincoln as it continues its streak as the most awarded luxury SUV in its class.”
