Customers in the United States have been able to purchase an RTR Mustang for years now, in a variety of specs. And Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s “Ready to Rock” upgrades have become incredibly popular for owners of regular Ford Mustang models, too. Now, South African residents can get in on that action, as Performance Center of South Africa has secured a distribution deal with RTR.
Customers are able to choose between the RTR Mustang Spec 1, Spec 2, and Spec 3 packages. The packages are identical to the ones already offered in America, too. That means all three come equipped with a variety of RTR upgrades, including a new upper and lower grille with LED lights, hood extractor vents, a rear spoiler and decklid panel, fender badges, floor mats, shift knob, graphics, lowering springs, and a serialized dash plaque.
The standard rolling stock consists of RTR Matte Charcoal 19 inch Tech 7 wheels with Nitto NT555 G2 Ultra High-Performance 275/40R19 tires. Buyers can also opt for a set of RTR Matte Charcoal 20 inch Tech 7 or Aero 7 Wheels with Nitto NT555 G2 Ultra High-Performance 275/35R20 rubber. Other options include an RTR street spec axle-back exhaust, Ford Performance springs, and a Performance Pack lip spoiler option.
The Spec 2 RTR Mustang adds a few more upgrades, including an RTR front chin spoiler, bumper inserts and turning vanes, rear diffuser, rocker splitters, front and rear sway bars, and adjustable coilovers. The Spec 3 tops that with the addition of a Ford Performance/Roush Supercharger Kit, which boosts output of the Mustang’s 5.0L Coyote V8 to 700 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque.
Those that already own a Mustang and want to purchase individual RTR parts are able to do so as well through Performance Center.
