Supercharged Mil-Spec Ford F-150 Is The Builder’s Most Powerful Truck Yet

There are many aftermarket Ford F-150 tuners out there in the world, offering a plethora of choices for those seeking to differentiate their pickups from the millions of others on the road. That includes Mil-Spec Automotive, which got its start doing high quality restorations on Hummer H1s. Previously, the builder offered tuned F-150s with 500 horsepower, but now they’ve created something much more sinister – a supercharged Mil-Spec Ford F-150 with the Intrepid Performance Package pumping out 675 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque.

Like the non-supercharged Mil-Spec Ford F-150, this new blown version comes exclusively with Ford’s 5.0L Coyote V8. It also comes equipped with a host of performance parts including a new throttle body, intake, cat-back exhaust, 93 octane tune, upgraded fuel rails, 47 pound-per-hour fuel injectors, and an air-to-liquid intercooler.

Like the regular Mil-Spec F-150, the supercharged version sports what they call “alpha pre-runner” styling as well. That starts with Baja fenders that are seven inches wider than a Raptor’s already wide fenders, along with signature LED lighting, Baja bumpers, and Mil-Spec badging. Additional options include a low-profile roof rack mated to a bed chase rack that holds a spare tire.

Underneath, Mil-Spec’s Baja Performance Suspension package integrates a Baja Suspension with Fox Racing shocks to allow for up to 12 inches of overall travel courtesy of new control arms and half shafts. Mil-Spec has also added new rear shock mounts to maximize travel while retaining stock towing capability.

Inside, the supercharged Mil-Spec F-150 receives all new upgraded leather upholstery, billet controls and badging, and a special steering wheel with magnesium paddle shifters. As Mil-Spec Automotive Co-Founder Adam Mitchell notes, the company’s new performance package was created with old school V8 fans in mind.

“While the first-generation Raptor featured a stout V8 power plant and became the Baja truck of choice for almost a decade, the second-generation truck didn’t really adequately address performance for some hard-core enthusiasts,” Mitchell said. “Mil-Spec Automotive recognized that a subset of performance-focused owners wanted more power, and our new Intrepid Performance Package offers significantly upgraded speed and torque across the board. The new Intrepid F-150 gives drivers a unique, limited series with an aesthetic anyone that has a passion for great trucks will enjoy.”
