Moab is usually a bustling destination for off-roaders, who have one of the best off-road events on the planet – the Easter Safari – to look forward to each year. Unfortunately, like most every other automotive event in 2020, this year’s Easter Safari was cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, as a bit of a consolation prize, the first-ever Moab 4×4 Expo has kicked off the Old Spanish Trials Arena today, October 28th, and runs through Saturday, the 31st.
A host of off-road vendors will be on hand for the event, showing off their products and answering questions from the general public. Additionally, the Moab 4×4 Expo will feature over 30 organized trail runs on 13 of Moab’s most famous trails for participants to enjoy, with experienced trail masters leading organized trail runs for groups.
For off-road novices, this opportunity allows them to experience Moab without having to worry about figuring out how to navigate the trails or find an experienced guide to show them the way. The event also gives vendors a chance to show off their wares in light of the cancellation of shows like SEMA, where they might normally do so.
Even better, Ford will be on hand with the 2021 Ford Bronco to provide fans with a special sneak peek at the reborn SUV. The automaker has only shown off the new Ford Bronco a handful of times to the public thus far, so this is certainly a great opportunity for more folks to get an up close and personal look at the new Bronco.
Unfortunately, the Bronco will on display only and won’t be tagging along for any of the trail rides. We’ll have to wait a little bit longer to see it in action, aside from all those prototypes that have already been out testing at Moab and various other locations around the U.S.
We’ll have more on the new Bronco very soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
