SEMA Ford F-350 ‘Ultimate Tailgate’ Will Be Auctioned Off For Charity

If this Ford Super Duty F-350 looks familiar, that’s because most have probably already seen it before. This is in fact a SEMA Ford build from the folks at Truck Hero, makers of a variety of truck accessories, and it made its debut back at the 2018 SEMA Show.

Now, the truck appropriately nicknamed “Ultimate Tailgate” is set to cross the block at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction on October 23^rd, with all proceeds from the sale benefiting the Building Homes for Heroes organization, a national nonprofit organization that builds and modifies homes and gifts them, mortgage-free, to veterans and their families.

It seems like the perfect time to sell such a rig, given the fact that we’ll be smack dab in the middle of football season. And that’s what this SEMA Ford rig is all about, as it’s fitted with goodies including a 65 inch LG OLED 4K TV that fully articulates on a custom bed slide system, a gaming table, YETI cooler, and grill. A pair of UnderCover SwingCases swing out from the bed, via remote control, and supply the sounds of the game through Maxxsonics MB Quart speakers.

The students at Washtenaw Community College’s Custom Cars & Concepts program handled the paint and body work on this big Ford pickup. Those up-and-comers shaved the exterior door handles and laid down the AkzoNobel Modern Classikk Black Hole Black paint and Sikkens Autoclear. A few other custom touches, including billet emblems and copper-plated badges, complete the look.

The SEMA Ford rolls on 24 inch Fuel Off-Road Dually Maverick wheels that have been copper-plated and accented with black-painted spokes, then wrapped in 285/40R245 Dilente Bandit tires. The truck sits right on top of that rolling stock thanks to an ARFT Speed Shop custom air suspension with a four-link rear and a full Air Lift Performance 3P air management system.

All together, this fully outfitted Ford looks like the ultimate game day rig, and the fact that all of the proceeds from its sale go to such a great cause just makes us want to bid on it even more.
