Check Out The Ford Performance Off-Road Recovery Kit By Warn Industries: Video

Ford is getting more serious about offering accessories for truck and utility vehicle owners. As part of its effort to offer accessories for a variety of off-road situations, Ford Performance and Warn teamed up to create the Ford Performance By Warn Industries Off-Road Recovery Kit, which includes everything off-road enthusiasts need to pull sub-10,000 pound vehicles out of sticky situations. A recent overview video detailed exactly what kit buyers can expect from the setup.

Perhaps the most important piece included in the Ford Performance By Warn Industries Off-Road Recovery Kit is the tow strap. As explained in the video, the bright-colored strap measures 22 feet and features an elastic-snatch design that enables the strap to use some kinetic energy to pull. These types of straps are handy for muddy and sandy situations where the stranded vehicle might need a little more force to become unstuck and the strap itself can help with towing.

It can also be used in two ways: owners can use it directly on the vehicles themselves or with a winch. With the included shackle, the kit is rated to tow vehicles up to 10,000 pounds.

In the video, the kit earns praise for its high quality, with the reviewer saying that the shackle appears to be robust and more substantial than cut-rate competitors. It seems like it should have no problem when hooked up to a recovery hook.

Although less important than the tow strap and shackle, the gloves also received some good words from the reviewer. They feature rubberized coatings for durability and good padding around the fingers. As an added bonus, the gloves look attractive and modern, especially with the blue Ford Performance accents.

Taken as a whole, the kit received an extremely positive assessment from the reviewer. The contents seem tailored for new and experienced off-roaders alike, and the kit overall seems like a no-brainer kit for anyone with a truck, especially at its $149 price point.
