As we reported last week, 2021 Ford Bronco Sport pre-orders recently went live in Mexico, at which time a Bronco Sport Special Launch Edition, limited to just 130 units, was also made available in an exclusive color – Arctic Gray. Perhaps unsurprisingly, as was the case in the U.S. with the First Edition, the Bronco Sport Special Launch Edition sold out within just a few hours of becoming available, Ford has announced.
The Bronco Sport Launch Edition came as a bit of a surprise to prospective buyers, as it was announced at the time pre-orders opened. Ford said that the objective of this limited edition crossover was to surprise consumers who were ready to “awaken their wildest side” and give a special touch to the arrival of the new model in the country.
Like its bigger brother, the Ford Bronco, the Ford Bronco Sport is designed to offer excellent off-road capability, but in a small, easy-to-live-with, and more affordable package.
In addition to the Special Launch Edition Bronco Sport, Mexican buyers can choose from one of three trim levels – Big Bend, Outer Banks, or Badlands. Buyers are able to choose their preferred dealer after spec’ing out their ride, and the process is completed by placing a down payment of $20,000 MXN ($950) through the Ford.mx site.
As we recently reported, production of the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is already underway at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico. Ford is proud to say that more than 70 percent of the Bronco Sport’s engineering was done by Mexican hands from its initial design, and the vehicle itself is produced 100 percent in Mexico. The Bronco Sport is expected to launch in the spring of 2021.
We’ll have much more on the new Bronco Sport very soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Bronco Sport news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

Seeing as the bronco sport and full size bronco share many design similarities, how much of the full size bronco was engineered in Mexico?
This vehicle is made in Mexico. #BoycottFord
You could always get a Silverado or Sierra Crew Cab, or Ram 1500 that are made in Mexico.
Or buy a Subaru or Toyota made in the US.
