The all-new 2021 Ford F-150 is arriving at dealerships across the U.S. this week, and customers aren’t wasting any time bringing them home. In fact, Ford says that the first sales of its 14th gen pickup have already been recorded in the Midwest, and the number of retail orders placed is at an all-time high.
“Customer sold orders are up over 210 percent from a year ago November, and dealer orders for stock are more than double the current production schedule,” said Mark LaNeve, Ford vice president, U.S. marketing and sales. “It’s apparent that this F-150 is something that our customers both want and need.”
“I’ve been selling Fords for 28 years, and I’ve never seen my staff this excited about a vehicle launch,” said Tim Hovik, owner of San Tan Ford in Phoenix. “The F-150 is the gold standard of trucks.”
Though customers are just getting their hands on the newest Ford F-150, the pickup is already earning accolades as well.
The 2021 Ford F-150 has earned a Kelley Blue Book Best Buy award for the seventh consecutive year, while the Ford Expedition has also earned the same honors for the fourth straight year.
Kelley Blue Book’s annual Best Buy awards are determined based on a yearlong regimen of vehicle evaluation of nearly every new vehicle available in the U.S., along with analysis of a broad array of vehicle-related data, including vehicle pricing, five-year cost-to-own – which includes depreciation, insurance, maintenance, financing, fuel, fees and taxes for new vehicles – consumer reviews and ratings, and vehicle sales information.
“The Ford F-150 has been a Best Buy award winner seven years in a row, staying in this top spot because it continues to advance the full-size truck segment,” said KBB.com editors.
“The 2021 Ford Expedition continues with a proven formula based on a rugged ladder frame with independent rear suspension. As such, the big aluminum-bodied Ford shines as a comfortable truck-based family hauler that’s at home in the daily grind or when doing work like towing a trailer to a campsite,” KBB added.
We’ll have more on the new F-150 very soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and continuous Ford news coverage.

I have been a fan of Ford since the 9th grade when I did a write up for my Science class.I have read a few books on Henry Ford and have been to the amazing Museum in Dearborn where they build the f150 trucks. My first truck was a f100 ,292 V8 with the three speed on the column. That truck was tortured by me from age 14-17.I think Ford was smart staying away from the bailout money.I respect them for this.I can only wish them good luck in the future. They deserve it.
I have to say a lot of my cars and trucks have not been Ford because I have a problem dealing with my local Ford dealers.Always looking.
