Ford Mexico has been recognized in the Employers for Youth 2020 rankings, which highlights the best companies for young professionals in Latin America, with a ninth-place finish out of 50 companies. It is estimated that in Mexico, there are about 30.6 million young people between 15 and 29 years old, which represents 25.7 percent of the population.
“We are very proud to have positioned ourselves in the Employers for Youth ranking. This result reflects that we firmly believe that inclusion and working with teams of different ages brings a fresh perspective and brings us closer to achieving our goal of putting people first,” said Héctor Pérez, CEO and president of Ford Mexico.
For the first time, the consulting firm First Job invited the company to participate in the Employers for Youth study, which seeks to recognize the best companies for young professionals. This is the only ranking focused on young people in Latin America. Among the points that are recognized in the survey are recognition, talent, innovation, infrastructure, quality of life, career development, benefits, and work environment.
Currently, Ford Mexico is made up of approximately 10,000 employees, of which more than 70 percent are young people between 20 and 35 years of age. Taking into account that the talent and diversity of its collaborators is the main advantage the company holds, being able to provide workspaces that inspire, as well as the necessary tools to know and overcome their skills, is one of Ford Mexico’s top priorities.
Ford Mexico was quick to note that this result was made possible through the effort and hard work of Ford de México Human Resources employees, which it credits with providing the ongoing training needed to attract and develop young talent.
