During January 2021, a new Ford Explorer discount drops the price of every 2020 model by $5,500. The offer, however, is only available in select markets. The Blue Oval is also offering interest-free financing for qualifying buyers in select markets, and is combining the zero-percent offer with a cash allowance.
Interested parties may like to know that, on average, this month’s featured offer appears are not as generous as recent offers for the sixth-generation Explorer.
Ford Explorer Incentives
Ford Explorer discount offers for January 2021 vary slightly by region. We’re providing the largest discounts in four major U.S. markets below:
- New York:
- 2020 Explorer: $5,500 total cash discount
- Detroit:
- 2020 Explorer: $2,000 total cash discount
- 2021 Explorer: $1,500 total cash discount
- Miami:
- 2020 Explorer: $2,750 total cash discount + 0 percent APR for 72 months
- A $3,500 total cash discount is also available for buyers who wish to forego the special interest offer
- 2021 Explorer: $1,250 total cash discount + 1.9 percent APR for 60 months
- 2020 Explorer: $2,750 total cash discount + 0 percent APR for 72 months
- Los Angeles:
- 2020 Explorer: $2,500 total cash discount
All of the aforementioned offers will remain valid through the beginning of March 2021.

As exclusively reported by Ford Authority, the 2021 Ford Explorer will soon gain two more trim levels – King Ranch and Timberline, thereby expanding the range to seven available models.
