New Ford Bronco Colors Are Coming For The 2022 Model Year

We’re still awaiting the very first 2021 Ford Bronco deliveries, which are now scheduled to begin this coming summer after a bit of a delay. But that won’t stop Ford Bronco fans from thinking about the future, particularly what variants might be in the pipeline, as well as new features, especially since many reservation holders won’t be receiving their Broncos until MY2022. Now, we’ve learned that there will be some new Bronco colors in the pipeline for 2022 as well.

2021 Ford Bronco

The news comes to us straight from Mike Levine, Ford’s North American Product Communications Manager, who posted the information on Twitter in response to a question from a reservation holder asking if Cyber Orange would be available in 2022. “Not sure if Cyber Orange will still be available for MY22,” Levine said. “New colors come in when others go and there are new colors coming in 2022.”

The 2021 Ford Bronco is available in a variety of hues including Shadow Black, Oxford White, Antimatter Blue, Cactus Gray, Iconic Silver, Area 51, Carbonized Gray, Rapid Red, Race Red, Cyber Orange, Velocity Blue, and the First Edition-exclusive Lightning Blue.

It’s entirely normal for automakers, including Ford, to change color options for a vehicle from model year to model year, so this news isn’t surprising by any means. However, it is interesting that Levine won’t commit to Cyber Orange carrying over to 2022.

Meanwhile, those who will be waiting for a 2022 Ford Bronco will get the benefit of being able to select both the Sasquatch Package and Ford’s new seven-speed manual transmission after that option was pushed back following the recent COVID-19 related supplier issue Ford was facing.

We’ll have more on the Bronco very soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and 24/7 Ford news coverage.

I’m really hoping that they add the Kodiak Brown to the Bronco lineup. I saw it on a Bronco Sport recently and really liked it. That would be a no-brainer color choice for me, but I do really like the Cyber Orange too.

There are zero, zero production 2021 broncos (don’t let the fan boys fool you), yet there is talk about the 2022 colors? I’m guessing some of the fan boys have decided an additional color would go well with stickers/badges and “off road” gear they’re planning on “outfitting” their bronco’s with! The interior decorating fan boys, are fretting (and whining) over the interior sound proofing, carpet, heated steering wheel, sound system etc. (for the four door), but for an Off Road, Trail King one would think the 4×4 performance would be taking center stage. All the talk about how the new bronco will be “killing the trails” is just that, talk. I am interested in seeing the bronco’s dominance in june/july-or, if all the talk is just that-talk. I will boldly predict the majority of Off Roaders, on the trails and off off road, will still be Jeeps/Tacomas/rails, it will be very rare indeed to actually see one of the mall crawlers in the mud.

I think all of the excited and patient customers who made a reservation for the 2021 broncos should be able to have the option of the white top like the original broncos had.
