First 2021 Ford GT Studio Collection Model Has Been Revealed

Last August, the 2021 Ford GT Studio Collection was announced as a unique customizable exterior graphics package stemming from a design collaboration between Ford and the GT’s manufacturer, Multimatic. At that time, Ford announced that it would be building a mere 40 examples of this rare and special machine, and now, it has revealed the very first one.

The first 2021 Ford GT Studio Collection model is finished in Shadow Black with Competition Orange accents, including a racing stripe that covers the hood, roof, and rear portion of the car, as well as along the functional cooling ducts and roofline. This particular Studio Collection model is also wearing black wheels, which cover red brake calipers.

“The combination of the stripes and accents invokes the emotion of speed and draws your eye to some of the most prominent features of the GT,” Multimatic design head Garen Nicoghosian previously said about the Studio Collection. “The fuselage, buttresses, and signature features on the headlights provide visual anchors for the graphics, guiding your eye across the vehicle.”

The body and graphics of the 2021 Ford GT Studio Edition can be customized with seven standard colors, or further personalized with an extended palette offering endless color combinations for even greater exclusivity.

The beauty of this package is that owners are virtually guaranteed to have a proper one-of-one, a privilege other supercar manufacturers offer on their own high-end performance vehicles.

The Studio Edition joins another brand new Ford GT variant for the 2021 model year – the Heritage Edition, which celebrates the automaker’s very first 24-hour endurance win that led to its dominance at Le Mans.

Deliveries of the 2021 model year Ford GT begin in early 2021, with Ford GT production wrapping up in 2022.

  1. Curious, how long is Ford / Multimatic, is planning on continuing production? I understand the desire for playful paint scheme editions as a way to mildly refresh, but every product has its timeline before it’s either dramatically updated or discontinued…at least temporarily. It seems that the sales numbers are still strong, I guess as long as this is the case…the GT will continue to live in its current form.
