The Ford Authority Take

Ford Argentina sales decreased slightly in January, despite the local automotive market posting a 9.2 percent increase in sales volume. The performance interrupts the positive performance that Ford experienced for two consecutive months (in December and in November) in the South American country.

The most significant losses came from the Ford Ka and EcoSport, the brand’s first and third best-selling vehicle in January 2020, respectively. Together, both models accounted for 357 fewer deliveries in January 2021 than in January 2020.

Ford Telematics

By contrast, the domestically-built Ford Ranger posted a remarkable 35 percent increase, becoming The Blue Oval’s brand’s best-selling model in the first month of 2021. Additionally, the Transit also posted a healthy increase, and the new Territory contributed 145 units to the bottom line.
