The Ford Authority Take

Ford Motor Company South Korea sales posted a healthy increase during the 2020 calendar year. Despite the challenges and adverse circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic last year, the automaker sold 1,710 more vehicles in 2020 than it did during 2019 in the South Korean market.

This remarkable volume increase for FoMoCo in South Korea is mainly due to the excellent sales performance of new Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator. Both three-row crossovers were very well received by customers in the Asian country. Together, the duo recorded 7,552 deliveries, which represents almost 75 percent of the company’s total sales.

In addition, significant sales growth for the Ford Mondeo along with additional volume for the new Lincoln Corsair further contributed to the Dearborn-based automaker’s positive sales performance for the 2020 calendar year.
