The 2021 Ford Mustang adds four new exterior colors to its roster: Antimatter Blue Metallic, Fighter Jet Gray, Carbonized Gray Metallic, and Grabber Yellow. Here’s our first look at the Grabber Yellow option.
Assigned order code CB, Grabber Yellow is one of ten available color options for the 2021 Mustang. The new hue seems to be an indirect replacement for Grabber Lime, which has been discontinued for the current model year.
The new Grabber Yellow color is a no-cost option across the board but cannot be paired with certain interior environments. On EcoBoost Premium, it is limited to the Ebony and Ceramic ActiveX seating, and for EcoBoost Premium models paired with the 201A equipment group, it can only be paired with the Ebony leather seating that features Metal Gray stitching. Those same exact interior environment restrictions apply to the GT Premium trim as well, with Grabber Yellow also being unavailable on California Special Package models that feature Ebony leather with Miko suede and red stitching.

2021 Ford Mustang Timeframe
As of this writing, the 2021 Mustang is available at the retail level, as the Ford Flat Rock Assembly plant has been producing the Coupe (fastback) and Convertible for several months now. The 2021 model year of Ford’s iconic muscle car introduced some changes into the lineup, like the Mach 1, while also getting slightly more expensive across the board, though the price increase was accompanied by the addition of standard active safety tech. Additionally, as Ford Authority was first to report, Ford swapped out traditional leather for ActiveX seating in the EcoBoost Premium.

Huge fan of grabber lime, and not a fan of yellows. At least it’s a real color. Too many grey’s and grey shades of colors in ford’s cars the last couple decades.
Reviving a color from almost 50 years ago? Sure sounds it, Grabber Yellow was a color for the Maverick in the early 1970’s.
Around 50 years ago, one could purchase a yellow mustang, I remember one with a 4 speed manual (oh yea) and a 390 CID, a friend of mine had….good times. Nothing sounds like a great V-8!
According to Ford’s own Build & Price web site, you can get Grabber Yellow on 700A (Premium model). Come on Ford, get your story straight!
Hi Bernard, thanks for pointing that out. The sentence has been eliminated to reflect the fact that the color can be ordered with the 700A equipment group.
Bought a Mustang in grabber yellow yesterday. Love it! Went to the local Ford lot to look at trucks, couldn’t resist the yellow Mustang.
Enjoy your new Stang! The Grabber Yellow looks so much better in person than in print.
Indeed! I haven’t gone nuts over a Mustang since the 2011 one I bought (race red). Fun, fun cars.
