The 2021 Ford Ranger adds four new exterior colors to its roster: Cactus Gray, Carbonized Gray, Cyber Orange Tri-Coat, and Velocity Blue. Here’s our first look at the Velocity Blue option.
Assigned order code E7, Velocity Blue is a metallic paint. It’s also one of nine available color options for the 2021 Ranger.
The new Velocity Blue color is a no-cost option but is limited to certain Ranger configurations. For instance, it cannot be paired with the Medium Stone interior environment on XL, nor can it be selected with either the STX Appearance Package or the Ranger Tremor Off-Road Package. However, the Velocity Blue and Medium Stone configuration is available on XLT and Lariat models without the Tremor Off-Road Package.

2021 Ford Ranger Launch Timeframe
As of this writing, the 2021 Ranger is available at the retail level, as the Ford Michigan Assembly plant has been producing the pickup late 2020. The 2021 model year Ranger dropped the pickup box delete option while gaining a new Tremor Off-Road Package, making it more capable than ever. Additionally, shoppers in the market for a Ranger should note that incentives have made the mid-size pickup something of a bargain of late, although folks should check with their local dealers for details about availability and pricing.
The 2021 Ranger rides on the Ford T6 platform shared with the 2021 Ford Bronco, although that model will sport an updated variant of the architecture. Ford reintroduced the Ranger into North America for the 2019 model year, representing the fourth-generation of the nameplate.
