Comments
Those that purchased the “soccer mom mobile” just lost $500++ in value! If you were one that purchased the bronco sport (BS) with the snowmobile engine….a lot more.
Ford did raise the price a few times since they started selling it a few months ago. Raise price $600 and then give a $500 rebate is a scam
BTW I have one of them , it is a very nice little vehicle. ( not to big/small. High of drivers seat off the road is just perfect for me. Handles smoothly and soaks up potholes like they don’t exist, And the price tag of $30k is not bad )
Wow, incentives already? Scary.
So! For all of the jumping up and down, delays. “tease” picture spreads in the press, and people lined up to pay many thousands over sticker to Be The First Kid On Their Block with a Bronco, ford is offering incentives.
Where have I seen this before? Let me think… Chrysler PT Cruiser comes to mind. $5,000 over sticker. Or, when Chrysler corporate stepped in and told the francisees to stop it, they would sell the cars to their own employees, then buy them back and sell them as “demonstrators” or “used”, for exhorbitant markups and corporate couldn’t touch them. Two years later, the PT was a loss-leader special in the Sunday ads.
Everything brand new always has a high initial demand and markup. Everything. Even the cyber truck, as bizarre as it looks and despite Elon shattering the unbreakable glass with that ball bearing during the reveal. Gotta remember, ordering opened up for those last year. I’m not sure what the conversion rate ended up being on all those reservations but perhaps it was low enough for ford to open up and incentivize the order banks
