Ford Motor Company Mexico Sales Increase 16 Percent In March 2021

Ford Motor Company Mexico sales increased 16 percent to 3,535 units in March 2021 compared to March 2020 results. Sales increased at the namesake Ford brand, while decreasing at Lincoln.

Ford sales increased 17.4 percent to 3,484 units:

Lincoln sales decreased 40 percent to 51 units:

In the first three months of the 2021 calendar year, Ford Motor Mexico sales decreased 16 percent to 9,510 units.

The Ford Authority Take

After 14 months of being in the red, Ford Motor Company Mexico sales saw a healthily increase in March. In this way, the March sales performance puts an end to The Blue Oval’s long-running negative trajectory in the Latin American country.

The March increase was supported by a slight increase in Ford F-Series sales – the company’s best-selling nameplate in Mexico, as well as significant increases in the Ford Explorer, Transit and Ranger. By contrast, Lincoln sales plummeted in March as sales of the Aviator and Nautilus fell.
