MBRP Releases New 2021 Ford F-150 Exhaust Options: Video

Aftermarket exhaust systems are one of the most popular modifications owners make to their vehicles, and for good reason. Stock exhaust systems are generally restrictive and quiet, and most people prefer to have a little more sound, and most certainly more power from their engines. Now, owners of the latest generation of the Ford F-150 have a new option in the form of MBRP’s 2021 Ford F-150 exhaust.

The MBRP 2021 Ford F-150 exhaust is a four-inch cat-back system that comes in a variety of finishes and configurations. It works with Ford’s 2.7L EcoBoost V6, 3.5L EcoBoost V6, and 5.0L Coyote V8, and is available in T304 stainless steel, T409 stainless steel, aluminized steel, or black-coated finishes as well as with or without a muffler bypass pipe for those that crave even more volume from their exhaust.

It’s quite clear when the stock exhaust is compared, side by side, to the MBRP system just how restrictive the factory setup really is. It consists of a front flange, resonator, and small diameter tubing going into a large, suitcase-style muffler. MBRP’s exhaust system contains larger diameter pipes that really aid flow, along with a new, less restrictive muffler design.

Meanwhile, MBRP’s F-150 exhaust uses the factory rubber hanger locations, so installing it is a breeze. There’s plenty of clearance for axle travel, and the larger five-inch tip looks more aggressive as well. And since the catalytic converters stay in place, the truck remains emissions compliant, which is a concern in a number of states, especially as the EPA has recently started cracking down on trucks with modified emissions systems.

On the road, this particular exhaust setup emits a louder-than-stock yet mellow tone that won’t enrage the neighbors, which is something a lot of folks might be concerned with. Thus, it seems like a nice addition to the fast-growing aftermarket parts bin for the latest F-150.
