Reebok Is Making Shoes Inspired By The Jurassic Park Ford Explorer

Sponsored

The Jurassic Park Ford Explorer has been a mega-popular movie vehicle for some time now, and we recently saw a faithful replica of the big screen star sell not once, but twice in two separate high-profile auctions. But fans of both Jurassic Park and the vehicle that took park visitors on tours, where they could check out dinosaurs up close and personal, can’t seem to get enough. Thus, Reebok is creating a pair of Jurassic Park Ford Explorer theme shoes, it seems.

The news (and photos) of these nifty new kicks were actually leaked on Twitter by the shoe-obsessed folks at Nice Kicks, but Reebok has since confirmed their existence and name – Jurassic Park x Reebok Instapump Fury. And they look, well, pretty much exactly like the Explorers from the smash-hit movie. The color scheme and graphics are identical, which makes them easily identifiable to anyone who’s ever seen the original Jurassic Park.

Like the SUV they’re modeled after, the shoes feature a yellow base that fades into green as it moves upward, then finishes off with red scale-like patterns. An additional green hue is featured around the lace/tongue area, along with a T-Rex protruding from the top of the tongue on the pump button. Underneath, there’s a cool tearaway graphic that looks like the undercarriage of an automobile, to boot.

These cool kicks were slated to debut alongside the forthcoming movie Jurassic Park: Dominion, which was originally supposed to hit theaters this summer but has now been delayed to 2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Luckily, we won’t have to wait that long for the shoes to arrive, however, as they’re still on track to launch this summer with a retail price of $180.

We’ll have more cool gear like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Explorer news and ongoing Ford news coverage.
