2021 Ford Edge Timeline
As of this writing, the 2021 Edge is available at the retail level, as the Ford Oakville Assembly plant has been churning out the crossover for several months now. Availability varies, so check with your dealer for complete availability, especially given that the ongoing microchip shortage has impacted Ford Edge production, and may continue to do so in the future.
As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2021 model year Ford Edge received a light exterior refresh, along with a major tech upgrade in the form of a huge 12-inch touchscreen loaded with Sync 4, which is now standard on all models. Additionally, Ford significantly recalibrated the transmission in the Edge ST to better align with customer expectations.
Additionally, Ford will roll out a brand-new Outfitters cargo management system for the Edge later this year, which should offer active lifestyle customers more places to store their gear. Shoppers in the market for an Edge should note that incentives on the midsize utility have made the crossover quite the value player in the segment as of late.
We’ll have more on the 2021 Edge soon, so subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Edge news and continuous Ford news coverage.

All these exciting shades of gray! Or is it grey? At GM and Stellantis they must be contemplating suicide!
WOW! How exciting! Another non-color to add to the umpteen they already have. This vehicle, who cares, but the lack of anything even remotely fun for the mach-e is a crying shame. I was contemplating purchasing one until I saw the color choices, both interior and exterior, or should I say the lack thereof. Ford just seems to screw the pooch at every turn lately.
