As we reported last week, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning will be revealed during a livestream from Ford headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan tomorrow, May 19th, at 9:30 pm EDT via a number of platforms, including social media and even a giant screen outside of Ford’s headquarters. President Joe Biden is also on hand today, getting a sneak peek at the all-electric F-150, but as it turns out, we may also get to see the pickup before tomorrow, too.
Ford has released a new short video teasing the side profile of the 2023 Lightning, which goes hand-in-hand with a previous teaser of the truck’s front end. But in addition to these teasers, CNBC’s Michael Wayland also got early access to the Ford Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, where the Lightning is already set up, underneath a cover, next to a 2021 Ford F-150, 2021 F-150 Raptor, and a trio of vintage models.

What’s even more interesting about this teaser is that Wayland notes “we are expected to see the vehicle today, ahead of its public debut tomorrow.” Thus, it appears that some reporters will be on hand, right alongside Biden, as the very first folks outside of Ford to see the Lightning. Whether or not the general public will also get to see the truck during Biden’s appearance, where he’ll discuss his $174 million dollar EV plan, remains to be seen.

Either way, it won’t be long before the world gets its first look at the 2023 Lightning and learns all of its key figures, including range and price. Needless to say, a lot of potential customers will be tuning in to see this mega debut and place a reservation for a new Lightning, at least according to Ford CEO Jim Farley.
