Ford F-150 Lightning Exterior Revealed Ahead Of Official Debut

Sponsored

The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning will officially be revealed during a livestream from Ford headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan tomorrow, May 19th, at 9:30 pm EDT via a number of platforms, including social media and even a giant screen outside of Ford’s headquarters. President Joe Biden was also on hand at the Ford Rouge Electric Vehicle Center today, getting a sneak peek at the all-electric F-150. However, Ford went ahead and pulled the covers off during Biden’s speech so everyone got a great look at the Ford F-150 Lightning exterior.

The Ford F-150 Lightning exterior, specifically the front end, can be seen clearly behind Biden during his speech, but CNBC‘s Michael Wayland also got some great pictures of the truck and shared them via Twitter. As was expected, the Lightning looks a lot like the 2021 Ford F-150 but features a unique front-end treatment that sets it apart from the rest of the F-150 lineup.

That design includes a large light bar that spans the entire length of the hood and down the sides of the headlights on each side, as seen in a prior teaser. The front grille design is also wholly unique from the rest of the F-150 lineup, as is the hood, which has a “dome” covering what will be a large “frunk” instead of a traditional ICE engine. Finishing up the obvious differences here are a set of aerodynamic wheels similar to the ones we saw on a prototype a few weeks ago.

Overall, the Ford F-150 Lightning exterior design is pretty much exactly what we expected to see, but it’s nice to receive some sort of confirmation ahead of tomorrow night’s official reveal when we’ll finally learn all the details about the first-ever all-electric Ford F-150.

The way Ford is delivering vehicles these days, this will probably be introduced as a 2025 . Another product intro flop possibly.

Sorry FORD, you almost had me there but; I wouldn’t buy a damn thing Biden endorses. Biggest gosh dang liar and thief this country every saw by a long shot.

No kidding…I’ll have to look back and see if Ford rolled out the red carpet when our true duly elected president paid them a visit. I don’t remember seeing affectionate tweets for Trump.

Joe, you are correct to point that out. Then again corporate America loves big Gov’t. Wait for all these manufacturing jobs to start going out of country again. Biden and his administration along with the Democrats will reverse all the progress Trump made on jobs.

Can you give some details on the red ‘56 F-100 in the picture?

Since Trump tried to have Ford investigated for simply sticking to reasonable fuel efficiency standards, I seriously doubt that a presidential endorsement of the electric F150 would have even happened if he were still president. In this reality, we believe in…reality. 😉

Then go buy your foreign Dodge. You all like to thumb the Bible and wave the flag but you buy vehicles from company’s foreign owned. And for your information President Biden is a corvette owner and a true car guy. But that’s not what’s important to you, Right?
