Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition Previewed Prior To Official Reveal

While those in the U.S. continue to clamor for the Ford Ranger Raptor to be sold there (and it looks like the next-gen model will be), those in other parts of the globe continue to be treated to new and cool versions of the off-road pickup. That includes the forthcoming Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition, which the automaker is teasing ahead of its official reveal on May 25th.

The Ranger Raptor Special Edition will make a special appearance during the second episode of Team Fordzilla‘s new Twitch show called “TFZ: TV,” which launched earlier this year. That episode, dubbed “The Good, the Bad, and the Bad-r-s-e,” airs on May 21st, but Ford has released a short teaser of the show below, which gives us a brief look at what to expect.

We can’t see much of the Special Edition pickup in the teaser, but we do get a good look at the rear of the truck, which is painted blue with black stripes and red accents. In the video, we can see the driver shift into gear and take off as he’s chased by a large group of outlaws, which is quite appropriate for what the automaker calls an “all-action film.”

“The new Ranger Raptor Special Edition adds even more dramatic style to our ‘bad-ass’ truck, with unique exterior touches and cabin enhancements that make our off-road performance pickup even more distinctive and desirable,” said Stefan Muenzinger, manager, Ford Performance, Ford of Europe. “Starring in its own Spaghetti Western movie is the perfect way to demonstrate Ranger Raptor’s outlaw appeal.”

This special episode of TFZ: TV goes live on May 21st at 20:20 CET (2:30 pm EDT) and can be viewed here.
