Ford Motor Company Mexico Sales Increase 16 Percent In May 2021

Ford Motor Company Mexico sales increased 16 percent to 2,864 units in May 2021 compared to May 2020 results. Sales increased at both FoMoCo brands – the namesake Ford brand, as well as at the Lincoln luxury marque.

Lincoln sales increased 42 percent to 68 units:

In the first five months of the 2021 calendar year, Ford Motor Mexico sales decreased 0.78 percent to 15,741 units.

The Ford Authority Take

Ford Motors Company Mexico sales saw a healthy increase in May thanks to a recovery that began a couple of months ago from the difficulties caused by COVID-19 pandemic. The performance represents the third consecutive increase that FoMoCo has experienced in the Mexican market so far in 2021, following the 16 percent rebound in March and 60 percent jump in April.

Although the majority of FoMoCo models sold in Mexico saw sales growth during May, the Ford Ranger registered the most significant increase. Sales of the midsize pickup truck grew 73 percent in May, surpassing the F-Series to become Ford’s best-selling nameplate in the Mexican market.

    With so many fords being made in mexico, you’d think sales would be hire, but when you look at the Huge Jumps 350%, in ford fusion sales, wow: Ford Fusion sales increased 350 percent to 18 units. Of course it is only 18 units, but that should be enough to send the stock price through the roof-or not.
