The Ford Authority Take

With the 24.5 percent increase in April sales volume, FoMoCo’s luxury brand ended a 15-month-long streak of declines in the Mexican market. In fact, Lincoln had not seen volume growth in Mexico since the end of 2019.

The positive result during April was the result of a return to natural volumes compared to April 2020, the first full month of stay-at-home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Latin country.

The model that contributed the most to the solid growth rated was the new Lincoln Corsair, which added 17 units on a year-over-year basis.

Meanwhile, the Lincoln Navigator was the only model to see a decline in sales volume in April. Still, it remains the most popular Lincoln nameplate in the country, followed by Corsair, Aviator and Nautilus.

  1. It makes no sense to be in this market for 61 vehicles in 1 month.
