The Ford F-150 Shelby Super Snake has been in production for a while now, and we’ve seen the hopped-up performance-focused pickup fare well in drag races against everything from the C8 Corvette to the Ram TRX. Those interested in purchasing one of these hopped-up trucks might find the high price of entry impossible to overcome, but if one can swing it, this 2019 Ford F-150 Shelby Super Snake up for auction at Cars & Bids might just sell for a bit of a discount over a new one, at least.
Just 250 2019 Ford F-150 Shelby Super Snake pickups were produced in total, making the muscle truck fairly rare right off the bat. Even better, this is the very first one produced, which makes it even more special. This example has just 1,812 miles on the clock and certainly looks brand new with its shiny Velocity Blue paint and signature white stripes.
The F-150 Shelby Super Snake is, if nothing else, a true powerhouse. Shelby American extracts an impressive 755 horsepower from Ford’s 5.0L Coyote V8 with a host of upgrades, including a Whipple supercharger, custom tune, free-flowing air intake, a larger billet throttle body, bigger fuel injectors, and a Borla exhaust. That power flows to the wheels via Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission for brisk performance.
The F-150 Shelby Super Snake sits low to the ground thanks to a revised suspension, which also has specially-tuned shocks for better cornering performance. A Shelby body kit and 22-inch wheels give the pickup a sporty appearance, while the black interior features red stitching, carbon fiber trim, Shelby gauges, and billet pedals to remind the driver that this truck is something special.
So far, this Super Snake has received a ton of interest at auction, with the high bid sitting at $55k as of this writing. But given the fact that this is serial number #001 and these trucks can easily top $100k new, maybe that isn’t much of a surprise.
