Rear view camera washers are useful for those that live in the snow belt, but they’re also coveted by off-roaders that routinely get their vehicles muddy. As such, 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands models have come with a rear view camera washer since the model’s launch, though the feature wasn’t available on any other trims. However, Ford Authority has learned from sources familiar with the crossover’s production that the Bronco Sport rear view camera gained a washer on Big Bend and Outer Banks models produced after May 10th, 2021.
As is the case with the Badlands, the Bronco Sport rear view camera washer – officially called “Rear View Camera with Washer” – will come as standard equipment on Big Bend and Outer Banks trims. This means that the majority of the Bronco Sport lineup will come equipped with this useful feature moving forward, with only the Base trim excluding it.
The addition of this camera washer is good news for those that have purchased a Bronco Sport recently, or plan on purchasing one in the future. So far, the rugged crossover has been a hit with buyers, to the point where Ford changed its policy on selling demo vehicles in an effort to ramp up inventory earlier this year. Bronco Sport sales continue to grow, in spite of the fact that the semiconductor chip shortage has impacted the production of the new model.
The Bronco Sport has also wooed a whopping 63 percent of its buyers from owners of other brands, most of them coming from Jeep, as Ford Authority reported last month. At least part of these conquest sales of this can be attributed to the Bronco Sport’s impressive off-road capability, which was on full display when the crossover brought home a win at the grueling Rebelle Rally last year.
We’ll have more on the Bronco Sport soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Bronco Sport news and continuous Ford news coverage.

The article is wrong. My 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Base model in Vancouver Canada has the camera washer.
