The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition were revealed some time ago, and Ford released all the details on these performance-oriented EVs late last year. Those that reside in North America were able to order the GT models back in April, but now, European residents can also secure their own Mach-E GT, following the new model’s appearance at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed this past weekend.
“Mustang Mach-E GT demonstrates the true potential for all-electric powertrains to dial up the fun-to-drive experience,” said Geert van Noyen, manager, Vehicle Dynamics, Ford of Europe. “This is a refined, premium specification five-seater SUV with the acceleration of a super-car and zero tailpipe emissions – a combination that was the stuff of dreams when I started my career as a car engineer 30 years ago.”
The Mach-E GT uses dual electric motors to produce 487 PS (480 horsepower) and 860 Nm (634 pound-feet) of torque – the most torque of any Ford road vehicle ever sold in Europe. The GT accelerates from 0-60 miles-per-hour in 3.7 seconds, which also makes it the quickest accelerating five-seat European Ford in the brand’s illustrious history as well. Meanwhile, the GT’s 88 kWh battery pack gives the EV crossover up to 500 kilometers (310 miles) of WLTP driving range, while a 150 kW charger adds up to 99 kilometers (62 miles) of range in just 10 minutes. Charging from 10 percent to 80 percent takes around 45 minutes.
Other notable features of the Mach-E GT include special Brembo brakes, an advanced MagneRide adaptive suspension (tuned specifically for European roads), specially-developed Pirelli tires, the addition of an Untamed Plus driving mode for the track, and a unique calibration that sends more power to the rear wheels than regular Ford Mustang Mach-E models. Unique styling, standard 20-inch alloy wheels, Ford Performance sport seats, and Grabber Blue and Cyber Orange exterior colors – exclusive to the GT – round out the package.
“Introducing Mustang Mach-E was a massive step on our journey to offering only zero-emissions capable, all-electric, or plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles by mid-2026, and the buzz around it has been incredible, with sales and awards successes across Europe,” said This Woelpern, general manager, Imports, Ford of Europe. “Mustang Mach-E GT is going to raise that excitement even more, by taking Ford’s expertise in practical, hugely fun-to-drive cars and SUVs into a new, all-electric era.”
We’ll have more on the Mach-E soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Mustang Mach-E news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

Good place for ’em. Let the EU keep all of the battery operated unsafe, polluting pieces of junk.
