The 2021 Ford Super Duty lineup adds three new colors to its roster: Antimatter Blue Metallic, Lithium Gray Metallic, and Carbonized Gray Metallic. Here’s our first look at the Carbonized Gray option.
Assigned order code M7, Carbonized Gray Metallic is one of 11 available colors for retail variants of the Ford F-250, Ford F-350, and Ford F-450, the three models that make up the 2021 Ford Super Duty lineup.
The Carbonized Gray Metallic color is a no-cost option. However, it’s not available on two-tone Lariat models or the King Ranch trim. Additionally, it can only be ordered with certain interior color environments.
Those interested in the 2021 Super Duty in Carbonized Gray Metallic should check with their local dealer regarding which interior colorway can be optioned with the new color.

As of this writing, the 2021 Super Duty is available at the retail and fleet level, as the Ford Kentucky Truck plant and Ford Ohio Assembly plant have been producing the trucks since November 2020. However, the ongoing microchip shortage has moderately disrupted output at both facilities, so shoppers interested in models clad in Carbonized Gray Metallic should once again check with their local dealer regarding pricing and availability of the heavy-duty trucks.
Ford Authority has extensively covered the changes to the Super Duty lineup for the 2021 model year, which include the addition of the Lariat Black Appearance Package (as a replacement for the Lariat Sport Package), an all-new Bed Step option, alterations to the availability of the Adaptive Steering System, and the deletion of the Windshield Wiper De-Icer feature.
The 2021 Super Duty is in its fifth year of production and is coming off a major refresh for the 2020 model year. A rolling model year update is just around the bend, which will see the heavy duty trucks gain some new tech and appearance packages for the 2022 model year.
