The Ford Authority Take

The dramatic decline in Ford Brazil sales during June represents the 18th consecutive month of contractions for FoMoCo in Brazil. The turn of events has been accentuated even further since the beginning of 2021, when Ford Motor Company abruptly announced plans to cease manufacturing in the South American country.

Ford Argentina

Although the drop in Ford Brazil sales last month was driven by lower sales of the discontinued Ka and EcoSport – typically Ford’s most popular products in the country, imported models like the Mustang and Ranger were also hit. Even so, the midsize pickup truck remains The Blue Oval’s top seller in the country and the entire South American region.

The only vehicle to perform well in June was the Ford Territory, posting a notable increase in volume compared to the prior five months of 2021.
