Low-mile Ford Mustang models from various generations have been coming out of the proverbial woodwork in recent months, including this 1993 SVT Cobra with 16 miles on the clock and this 109-mile 2007 Shelby GT500. Now, we have yet another stellar, barely-used pony car that’s surfaced for sale, and it’s this 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R with 250 miles that’s currently up for grabs at Cars & Bids.
The now-discontinued Shelby GT350 remains incredibly popular with Mustang fans thanks mostly to its incredible-sounding 5.2L Voodoo V8, and the GT350R is the ultimate iteration of that model. This particular 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R is also basically brand new with barely any miles on the clock after its original owner has kept it stored away the last couple of years.
This car is well-equipped with a number of options including Equipment Group 920A, which adds 19-inch carbon fiber wheels, a carbon-fiber wing, and the R package, as well as the Electronics Package, which includes touch-screen navigation and a Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker sound system. The GT350R’s original MSRP was a somewhat lofty $72,840, a total that the seller may just recoup with the auction already attracting a high bid of $45,000 (as of this writing) with six days to go.
As is the case with all GT350 models from the S550 era, this car serves up 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque from its flat-plane crank-equipped Voodoo V8, as well as a proper six-speed manual transmission and a sublime suspension setup for spirited driving.
Finished in Magnetic Metallic with a black stripe and red pinstriping along with a black and red interior, the Shelby Mustang certainly looks the part. It’s a clean and sanitary example of one of the greatest performance vehicles in recent Blue Oval history, and a surefire future collectible as one of the best track-focused machines from this era as well.
