2022 Lincoln Navigator Teased Ahead Of Official Reveal

Over the last several months, Ford Authority has reported extensively on the forthcoming, refreshed 2022 Lincoln Navigator. We’ve seen numerous prototypes out driving around wearing various types of camouflage, but now, Lincoln has released a short video teasing the 2022 Navigator for the very first time, giving us our best look yet at the refreshed SUV.

The short clip shows essentially the entire front end of the 2022 Lincoln Navigator, which has been slightly revised from the current-gen model, along with a close-up look at the new headlight design, with “The Lincoln Motor Company” embossed in the trim. Otherwise, the rest of the vehicle is completely obscured, while Lincoln invites interested parties to attend the full reveal, scheduled to take place Wednesday, August 18th at 10 am CDT via the automaker’s YouTube channel.

In addition to the changes present on its front fascia, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator will also wear a redesigned rear fascia and come with a revised interior with a new, landscape-oriented infotainment system that’s different from the vertically-oriented screen that will be used in the 2022 Ford Expedition -with which it shares the Ford T3 platform. The 2022 Navigator will continue to be offered as a full-size, three-row body-on-frame SUV with two body style configurations – the standard-length Navigator and extended-length Navigator L.

The 2022 Navigator is expected to continue to offer Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as its standard powerplant, possibly with some modifications to increase output over the 2021 Navigator, which produces 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. We also expect Ford to introduce a hybrid option for the refreshed Navigator, most likely the automaker’s 3.5L PowerBoost V6. In the 2021 Ford F-150, that engine produces 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic will be the sole transmission choice for both engines.

The 2022 Navigator will continue to be produced at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant alongside the Expedition and Ford Super Duty. We expect the refreshed Navigator to launch in Q4 of 2021 following its reveal next week.

  1. Future Navigator or Grand Wagoneer owner

The advantage Lincoln has is the Escalade’s only advantage is the screen and self driving but it doesn’t have that much considering it’s price point (Ex: no ventilated rear seats, poor towing capacity, least powerful engine in its class, etc.) So Lincoln should be able to address what Cadillac has and doesn’t have. Lincoln’s other competitor is the Grand Wagoneer andI believe that the Grand Wagoneer has a few more advantages and it’s main disadvantage is the mpg but people buying in that class simply don’t care but overall they’re pretty much equal.

LINCOLN Navigator is No Match for Cadillac Escalade with its Hyundai grill, I was really hoping LINCOLN would have addressed that in the face lift 22. It’s not ever carrying any of the design language of the future model with the full face light bar, very little was done. LINCOLN level is Grand Wagoneer at best, it’s real Sad even Heart Braking that this Company don’t know how to move the Brand into a Ultra Luxury Level
