2022 Ford Ranger Splash Package Explained: Here’s What To Expect

The 2022 Ford Ranger Splash Package was revealed earlier this month, bringing back a beloved name from Blue Oval history. At that time, Ford outlined the features that make the Splash Package and the Splash Limited Edition unique and noted that it will be available for XLT and Lariat SuperCrew models only. Now, Ford Authority has learned more details surrounding the availability of the new package from sources familiar with the 2022 Ford Ranger launch.

The 2022 Ford Ranger Splash Package is available in SuperCrew configuration only on XLT Mid 301A and High 302A equipment groups, as well as Lariat High 501A. However, the package cannot be paired with the Black Appearance Package, Chrome Appearance Package, Sport Appearance Package, or Tremor Off-Road Package. The Splash Package can be combined with the FX2 or FX4 packages for those seeking additional off-road capability.

For those that don’t want the side graphic included with the package, a Splash Package Graphic Delete option does exist. That option can be paired with all available exterior paint colors. Additionally, there will be other colors available via the Splash Limited Edition, which will offer one-off hues in small quantities, beginning with the Snow Edition.

On the outside, the Ranger Splash Package features black and orange bodyside graphics, orange grille nostrils, unique 18-inch, 12-spoke matte black wheels, and gloss black accents for the grille, rearview mirror caps, bumpers, fender vents, and wheel lip moldings.

Inside, the package includes unique seats with carbon grain, tuxedo stripes, and orange contrast stitching, which will be finished in leather on Lariat-trimmed Rangers. Lariats also get orange contrast stitching on the dash and armrests, while all Splash Package-equipped pickups gain the same bright-colored stitching on the steering wheel, parking brake boot, and shifter. The 2022 Ford Ranger Splash Package features an MSRP of $1,495.

As Ford Authority reported yesterday, 2022 Ford Ranger order banks are already open, while production is currently scheduled to begin at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant on December 13th, 2021.
