Ford has a long history of lending a helping hand to folks impacted by natural disasters and other major problems including COVID-19, fires in California, and winter storms in Texas. Most recently, a handful of Michigan-based Ford dealers shipped a number of 2021 Ford F-150 pickups equipped with the automaker’s 3.5L PowerBoost V6 hybrid powertrain and Pro Power Onboard generator to Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Ida, and now, Ford Employee Pricing will be available to those in states affected by the storm as well, according to Cars Direct.
The Ford Employee Pricing – or Ford A-Plan pricing as it’s otherwise known – provides the best possible discount on a wide range of models that is below invoice in many instances. Several different vehicles are eligible for the special pricing, including the Ford Bronco Sport, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Ford F-150 Raptor, and Ford Maverick, to name a few.
According to a memo sent out to dealers, the special pricing applies to “state of Louisiana residents that have experienced verified total loss or damage due to the Hurricane Ida on August 26th, 2021.” Despite this statement, however, Ford’s memo also notes that the pricing is available to residents of Houston, Memphis, Orlando, and Atlanta, but not New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, or New York – states that were also impacted by Hurricane Ida.
Those interested in taking advantage of this offer will need to show an insurance claim for their old, damaged vehicle to a Ford dealer, though dealers are able to opt out of the program entirely, so it may take a little bit of shopping around. The program does run now through January 3rd, 2022, however, so there’s plenty of time to take advantage of it for those that are looking to replace a storm-damaged vehicle.
We’ll have more on this and other new vehicle offers soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for 24/7 Ford news coverage.
