Hennessey Announces VelociRaptor 600 Upgrade for 2021 Ford Raptor Truck

Earlier this month, Hennessey Performance revealed its Venom 775 upgrade for the all-new 2021 Ford F-150, which gives Ford’s 5.0L Coyote V8 775 horsepower and 685 pound-feet of torque – enough to best the Ram TRX. Now, Hennessey has revealed the VelociRaptor 600 upgrade for the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor, which enables the TRX foe to deliver numbers that are right on par with that supercharged off-road pickup.

The Texas-based tuner adds a host of upgrades to Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost V6 to deliver 600 horsepower and 622 pound-feet of torque – increases of 150 horsepower and 122 pound-feet, respectively. These include an upgraded intercooler and air induction system, larger intercooler piping, an engine management upgrade, and a dyno tune. The total cost for these performance upgrades is $19,950 installed.

Hennessey says the VelociRaptor 600 provides a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds and a quarter-mile of 12.9 seconds, which is right on par with the TRX’s factory-rated times of 4.5 seconds and 12.9 seconds, respectively. Despite its power disadvantage, the Raptor also weighs quite a bit less than the TRX, which is what makes all the difference in terms of acceleration.

Those that want the looks to match this performance can opt for Hennessey’s Off-Road Stage 1 upgrade, which includes VelociRaptor front and rear bumpers, an LED light bar, 20-inch Hennessey wheels, 35-inch off-road tires, and a front suspension leveling kit, all for a total cost of $17,950 installed. Overall, the pickup sits three inches higher than stock, thanks to the level and larger wheels and tires. Additionally, 37-inch tires and 6-piston Brembo brakes are available, too.

Pricing for the VelociRaptor 600 ranges from $85,950 for a basic build to around $110,000 for a fully-loaded example, which includes the donor truck, and just 250 units will be built each year. Given its level of performance, that’s not terribly unreasonable, especially considering the fact that most TRXs sitting on dealer lots these days sport sticker prices of around six figures.
