2021 Ford Bronco Recalled Over Safety Issue With Passenger Side Airbag

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2021 Ford Bronco models due to a safety issue with the passenger side airbag.

The defect: in affected vehicles, an airbag vent could prematurely open during an accident, resulting in an improper deployment.

The hazards: an improperly deployed airbag can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Components: passenger side airbag.

Affected vehicles: select 2021 Ford Bronco models produced at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant.

Number of vehicles affected: 553 vehicles.

The fix: dealers will replace the passenger side airbag.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on November 15th, 2021. The Ford reference number for this recall is 21C23.
