2021 Ford F-150 Limited Is A Wards 10 Best Interiors Winner

Ford Motor Company has been racking up honors from Wards Auto over the last few weeks as the organization announces its latest automotive picks, including a 10 Best Engines win for the 2021 Ford F-150 equipped with the automaker’s 3.5L PowerBoost V6 hybrid powertrain and the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E and its electric powertrain, as well as a 10 Best Interior award for the Mach-E. Now, the 2021 Ford F-150 Limited has joined the list, as it has also been named a 2021 Wards 10 Best Interiors winner.

“Want to see a beautiful luxury car that can tow 14,000 lbs. (6,350 kg)?” Wards asks. “Look inside the new Ford F-150.” The 2021 Ford F-150 Limited, in particular, contains a “level of refinement like that seen in high-end passenger cars,” according to judge Drew Winter. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, however, this marks the F-150’s first win in this category since the 2015 King Ranch.

Regardless, Wards judges came away impressed not only with the luxurious cabin of the Limited but also its innovative features, including the Interior Work Surface and Max Recline Seats. And of course, the judges found it quite attractive inside the cab as well. “This has a well-tailored look to me,” said judge Dave Zoia.

While many modern vehicles are moving away from physical controls, the F-150’s combination of a large 12-inch touchscreen and buttons and knobs “should be a template for all vehicles, not just big trucks, to ease the driver’s ability to readily make changes to often-used functions – temperature, fan, volume, and tuning,” said judge Bob Gritzinger.

It wasn’t just modern tech, ease of use, and comfort that wowed the judges, however – other, more basic things impressed as well. “Running boards make for easy entry and exit from front and back,” said judge Christie Schweinsberg. “Giant legroom in the second row helps with ingress/egress from there.”
