2022 Ford Bronco Sasquatch Can Be Paired With 7-Speed Manual

When the 2021 Ford Bronco was revealed in the summer of 2020, one of the biggest complaints from customers was the fact that they couldn’t pair the Sasquatch Package with Ford’s new 7-speed manual transmission. As a direct result of that feedback, the automaker announced last September that the 2022 Ford Bronco Sasquatch would be available with the manual gearbox, and now, sources family with the 2022 Ford Bronco launch have confirmed to Ford Authority that this is indeed the case.

As was the case with the 2021 Bronco, the 7-speed manual can only be paired with the 2.3L EcoBoost I-4, however – not the 2.7L EcoBoost V6. This means that a manual Sasquatch combination is available in conjunction with Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands trims, but not the Wildtrak, as it comes standard with the 2.7L EcoBoost powerplant.

The Sasquatch Package adds a bevy of equipment to the Bronco, including beadlock capable 17-inch black high gloss-painted aluminum wheels with black beauty rings, 35-inch T315/70R17 mud-terrain tires, position-sensitive Bilstein shock absorbers, a high-clearance suspension, high-clearance fender flares, and a 4.7 final drive ratio with electronic-locking front and rear axles.

In addition to this change, the 2022 Ford Bronco will add two new colors – Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat – which will replace the now-discontinued Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue Metallic, and Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

Additionally, the 2022 Bronco will be available with a new Capable front bumper and a roof rack for four-door Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch package, while the Wildtrak will drop its standard MIC hardtop for a soft top. Finally, the highly-anticipated Ford Bronco Raptor is expected to launch in 2022 as well.
