2022 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Gains Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel

For the 2021 model year, the Ford Bronco Sport Badlands was available with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, but only if buyers opted for the Badlands Package, which added $2,695 to the price, bringing the total MSRP to $36,055. However, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands will come with a leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard equipment, Ford Authority has learned from sources familiar with the 2022 Bronco Sport launch.

This change was likely made because for the 2021 model year, the Outer Banks trim level of the Bronco Sport came standard with a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel at a base MSRP of $32,860. The Outer Banks will continue to come with this steering wheel as standard equipment for 2022 as well.

Those that want a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel in the 2022 Bronco Sport Badlands can get it by opting for the new Premium Package, which replaces the Badlands Package in the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport and includes a host of equipment and features including leather-trimmed two-tone 6-way power leather seats with mini-perforation, a 4-way manually adjustable head restraint for the driver and front passenger, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen with 10 speakers and a subwoofer, HD Radio, body-color door handles, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, a remote start system, rear parking sensors, a universal garage door opener, and a wireless charging pad.

In the meantime, the 2021 Bronco Sport continues to impress after recently beating out the Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road, Subaru Outback Wilderness, and even the Jeep Wrangler in a comparison test. The rugged crossover also ranked first in J.D. Power’s 2021 APEAL Study in the small SUV segment and earned a third-place finish in Consumer Reports‘ most recent Rear Seat Safety Study.

When are they going to add a power liftgate? Why haven’t they offered it to begin with?
