Over the last few model years, Ford has introduced a number of decidedly dark appearance packages for a multitude of vehicles, including the Ford Escape SEL Stealth AWD Package, the Ford Super Duty Lariat Black Appearance Package, the 2022 Ford F-150 XLT Black Appearance Package, STX Black Appearance Package, Lariat Black Appearance Package, and Platinum Black Appearance Package, and the Ford Ranger Black Appearance Package. Now, we can add the brand new 2022 Ford Expedition Stealth Performance Package to that list, which introduces black ovals to the big SUV for the very first time.
The black ovals replace the traditional Blue Ovals located in the front and rear of the Expedition Stealth Performance Package, which has become a key feature of the automaker’s Black Appearance Packages. It’s a fitting addition to a model that focuses on providing a darker, stealthy appearance along with on-road performance as opposed to the off-road-focused Expedition Timberline as part of the refreshed 2022 Ford Expedition lineup.
The Stealth Performance Package features a number of other exterior upgrades aside from the black ovals, including a gloss-black grille, mirror caps, roof rails, running boards, tailgate appliqué, rear bumper skid plate, fog lamp bezels, headlamp and taillamp housings, as well as black “Expedition” and “Limited” badges, and 22-inch premium black aluminum wheels. As Ford Authority was the first to report, the Stealth Performance Package also includes unique red brake calipers
To complement the Stealth Package Expedition’s sporty looks, Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost V6 lies underhood, providing a robust 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Mated to FoMoCo’s 10-speed automatic transmission, the sporty version of the 2022 Expedition also benefits from a sport-tuned suspension underneath.
Like all 2022 Expedition models, the Stealth Performance Package will be built at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant and is scheduled to launch in early 2022.
We’ll have more on the 2022 Expedition soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Expedition news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

Would love to trade my 2017 LMTD EL for one but the price tag will be too high.
Does it have the limited slip in back? That’s a must-have for anything performance oriented.
