2022 Ford Super Duty Gains New Atlas Blue Color: First Look

The 2022 Ford Super Duty adds just a single new color to its lineup: Atlas Blue. Here’s our first look at the new blue color option.

2022 Ford Super Duty

Assigned order code B3, Atlas Blue is one of ten available colors for retail models of the Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450, the three models that make up the 2022 Ford Super Duty lineup.

The Atlas Blue color is a no-cost option. However, it’s not available on the King Ranch trim nor can it be paired with certain interior color environments.

Those interested in the 2022 Super Duty in Atlas Blue should check with their local dealer regarding which interior colorway can be optioned with the new color.

Ford Super Duty Trim Levels:

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lariat
  • King Ranch
  • Platinum
  • Limited

Ford Super Duty Interior Color Combinations:

  • Medium Earth Gray
  • Baja
  • Black Onyx/Dark Marsala
  • Java
  • Navy Pier/Light Slate

2022 Ford Super Duty

As of this writing, the 2022 Super Duty is available at the retail and fleet level, as the Ford Kentucky Truck plant and Ford Ohio Assembly plant have been producing the trucks since July 2021. However, the ongoing microchip shortage has moderately disrupted output at both facilities, so shoppers interested in models clad in Atlas Blue should once again check with their local dealer regarding pricing and availability of the heavy-duty trucks.

2022 Ford Super Duty

Ford Authority has extensively covered the changes to the Super Duty lineup for the 2022 model year, which include the adoption of the new Sync 4 system on Lariat and above, a new Lariat Sport Appearance Package, changes to the 3.55 electronic-locking rear axle on the F-250, and standard 20-inch wheels on King Ranch. Additionally, King Ranch and Platinum have dropped rear-wheel drive while all models ditch the under hood service light.

The 2022 Super Duty represents the sixth year of production of the current model, which received a major refresh for the 2020 model year. We expect the heavy duty pickup to carry on in its current form until 2023, when the lineup is expected to receive a complete redesign.
