The Ford Authority Take

Ford Brazil sales suffered yet another drastic drop in August 2021, as FoMoCo continues the transition from being a local manufacturer to an importer. In fact, last month’s negative result represents the 20th consecutive month that The Blue Oval brand has seen a contraction in sales volume in the South American country.

2020 Ford Ranger Storm

One bright spot within the report is the Ford Ranger, which performed very well in August. The midsize pickup, manufactured in Brazil’s neighboring country of Argentina, registered its best sales month for both 2021 as well as during the last few years in the Brazilian market, consolidating its new position as the best-selling Ford vehicle there.
