The Ford Authority Take

Ford Brazil sales saw another dramatic decrease in September, when The Blue Oval brand selling 10,837 less units than during the same month in 2020. In fact, this new negative performance represents the 21st consecutive month that Ford has suffered a drop in sales in the Brazilian market.

In September, all Ford nameplates in Brazil suffered significant double-digit drops, including the Ranger, which has become the brand’s best-selling model in Brazil after local production of the Ka and EcoSport ceased. Sales of the midsize pickup fell nearly 20 percent after setting a record 2,180 deliveries in August.

In January, the automaker announced that it will cease all local production in Brazil, becoming a national sales company that will sell and market vehicles imported from other countries.
