In recent months, the Ford accessories catalog has expanded to include a number of Outfitters cargo packages for a variety of models, including three different 2021 Ford Explorer packages, another three for the Ford Edge, and a trio of configurations for the 2021 Ford Escape SEL and Titanium trims. Now, sources families with the matter have told Ford Authority that the 2022 Ford Expedition will also gain a number of Outfitters cargo packages as well.
As was the case with the three aforementioned models, the 2022 Ford Expedition will also gain three Outfitters cargo packages that will be available as dealer-installed options. The first package is dubbed Outfitters Cargo – Skybox, and it includes cargo mats, roof-rail crossbars, and a Yakima SkyBox 16. The Skybox package requires floor liners for the front and second rows with carpet mats, and is not available with factory-installed black roof-rail crossbars.
Next up, we have the Outfitters Cargo – MegaWarrior package, which includes cargo mats, roof-rail crossbars, a Yakima MegaWarrior, and a Yakima large stretch net. Like the Skybox package, the MegaWarrior package requires floor liners for the front and second rows with carpet mats and is not available with factory-installed black roof-rail crossbars.
Finally, the Outfitters Bike – FrontLoader package includes cargo mats, roof-rail crossbars, and two Yakima FrontLoaders with locks. Just like the other two packages, the FrontLoader package requires floor liners for the front and second rows with carpet mats and is not available with factory-installed black roof-rail crossbars.
It’s worth noting that these three packages are not compatible with each other, but they are available on any 2022 Ford Expedition trim level, save for the off-road focused Timberline. The 2022 Expedition – revealed just a couple of months ago – represents a mid-cycle refresh for the full-size SUV that introduces a variety of styling and tech updates, as well as the new Timberline and on-road performance-focused Stealth Performance Package.
We’ll have more on the 2022 Expedition soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Expedition news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
