2022 Ford F-150 Lightning XLT In Oxford White: Live Gallery

In recent weeks, Ford Authority spies have spotted a pair of 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning prototypes driving around wearing different exterior colors – first, a red Lariat, then, an Iconic Silver Platinum. Now, our spies have captured a 2022 Ford Lightning XLT finished in Oxford White, which gives us yet another real-world look at a different trim level and hue that will be available when the all-electric Ford F-150 launches next spring.

The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning XLT is one of four available trims for the electrified pickup and starts out at $52,974 before the current $7,500 tax credit or $45,474 with the credit, though changes to that credit are seemingly on the horizon. As is the case with other trim levels, the XLT badge on this F-150 Lightning is located on the charging port door underneath the F-150 logo.

The XLT slots above the commercial-focused Pro in the F-150 Lightning lineup and comes equipped with a gray-ion satin metallic front grille, signature front lighting, body-color bumpers, and Ford’s Interior Work Surface. Adding the Premium Package to the XLT brings the cost up to $56,774 and adds Co-Pilot Assist 2.0, intelligent adaptive cruise control, 9.6kW of onboard power, and 20-inch Dark Carbonized Gray aluminum wheels, among other amenities. Our featured model boasts the aforementioned package, which also includes body-color door handles as part of its offerings.

The F-150 Lightning XLT comes equipped with Ford’s standard range battery as standard equipment, which means that it produces 426 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque and provides up to 230 miles of EPA-estimated range, 2,000 pounds of max payload capacity, and 7,700 pounds of max towing capacity. The extended range battery is available as an option on XLT-trimmed trucks, which results in an output of 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, up to 300 miles of estimated range, 1,800 pounds of max payload, and 10,000 pounds of max towing capacity.

Additionally, the 2022 F-150 Lightning will launch with a number of new and innovative features, including, most notably, its Mega Power Frunk and vehicle-to-vehicle charging, which will be limited to other Lightnings at first.

We’ll have much more on the F-150 Lightning Lariat soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, F-150 Lightning news, and continuous Ford news coverage.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

The grille almost looks like CGI in the pictures! Do we know what material it’s made of? Looks like a composite material?
