Hypertech F-150 Hybrid Lariat Can Wash Your Dirty Clothes On The Trail: SEMA 2021

Sponsored

SEMA 2021 rolled into Las Vegas this week after skipping a year due to COVID-19. Ford is present and accounted here, with a full cast of custom rides, new products and accessories to show what the FoMoCo is capable of. This cast already includes three amazing Ford F-150 builds, including a beefier Ford F-150 Raptor by Addictive Desert Designs, a rockin’ Ford F-150 Tremor overlander, and the Hellwig Ford F-150 XLT Hybrid PowerBoost camper truck that makes the most of its 7.2 kWh Pro Power Onboard generator. And now, another F-150 has landed at the Sin City for SEMA – the Hypertech F-150 Hybrid Lariat.

Based on the 2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid Lariat PowerBoost SuperCrew, the stunning blue showcase truck from Hypertech is a dream come true for many who love the great outdoors. It’s also the ultimate demonstration of what the Pro Power generator can do off the grid. The trick piece of this rig is its custom sliding rail system, which houses everything including the kitchen sink. There’s an electric grill, a fridge/freezer, an ice machine, and even a washer/dryer combo for handling dirty clothes out on the trail. All of these and more make total use of the Pro Power’s 7.2 kilowatts of power, bolstering the in-bed generator’s extensive creds.

To turn up the off-roadability, the Hypertech F-150 Hybrid Lariat turned to Ford Performance Parts (FPP). For starters, there’s an air compressor, plus off-road lights and bumpers. An FPP cat-back exhaust makes the twin turbo 3.5L PowerBoost V6 sound better, while beefier tires and wheels take the corners to enable the truck to tackle tough terrains. Note that PowerBoost is a turbo-charged hybrid setup, in Ford speak.

Finally, to keep all of those goodies secure on the street and off the beaten path, a Ford Licensed Accessories bed cap from Leer includes lockable storage.

Once upon a time, camping meant leaving the luxuries and comforts of home in order to reconnect with the splendor of nature. These days, we’re likely to see plenty of trailers and RVs bringing those comforts and luxuries to the great outdoors. The Hypertech F-150 Hybrid Lariat proves it can bring all those luxuries together in one cool truck.

We’ll have much more from the 2021 SEMA Show to share this week, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and ongoing Ford news coverage.
