Is there a recall or fix coming for the 2021 Escape hybrid front grill shutters? At highway speeds the car shakes due to the shutters, worse with a head wind. My Ford dealership was advised by Ford of this issue. It’s not a safety issue but a serious problem for a new car.
So is there a fix for the 2021 Ford Escape se for the rear brakes? I’m buying a used Ford Escape SE that was recalled for this and I can’t get it yet!
I have a 2022 escape SE everytime I backup I can hear the back brakes dragging and when stopping, there is a loud high pitched squeak in the front brakes. The dealer says the brakes check out fine. I might as well be driving a 73 Pinto very frustrating!
I have a 2022 ford hybrid escape. Everytime I back up there is a loud high pitch squeak. Is this a brake problem. My escape just cleared 10,000 miles and does it every morning. Help.
My 2021 Ford escape has for a year been making a growling noise when I back up and lightly apply the brakes. the Dealer told me that all suv’s do this, itis not a squeek that rust makes but much louder. I am very disappointed with this vehicle.
I have a high squill in my back brakes when I back up. Also the wheel covers on two of them are black with residue from brakes. I am really annoyed with this Escape. Wish I’d would have went some other route.
I have A 2021 Ford Escape and it hums loudly in the rear when in reverse and when moisture is apparent. Dealer charged me another $100 to “replace caliper and pin cushion” only to drive it home and hear the same noise a day later. Now I know why this car was traded in with only 44K. I usually buy a Toyota or Honda; this is my first and last Ford. Talk about buyer’s remorse especially after reading other people’s experiences.
2021 Ford Escape- When backing up, the brakes make a terrible noise! Been in the shop twice in the last year for that and now a recall! Been in the shop three times for the engine light coming on which computer said it was the vapor valve, that didn’t fix it, so now they say it is the cylinder, that didn’t fix and so now they are saying it is another valve! Auto lights decided they only wanted to work part time, so now the switch needs to be replaced! Always have had good luck with the other 3 Escapes that I have had! Was bound to get ahold of a lemon and I got one this time!

I have a 2022 Ford Escape… I’ve only had it for one year June 16th 2024 makes 1 year since I’ve had the vehicle I’ve been having problems the front right side has a grinding noise I’ve had it checked many of times and they keep telling me that’s the way how it’s supposed to sound for a brand new car I don’t think so also when I put my car into reverse it makes this very loud squealing noise especially if it’s windy or been raining I’ve had it checked out a few times then they tried to fix it they changed out the calipers and the springs and the back saying that the brake dust is making it squeal after they attempt to fix it two days later the noise was right back I took it back in then they told me that they can’t fix the problem and that Ford is aware of the problem but they don’t know how to solve it not until next year I really don’t feel that it’s fair that I’m paying for a car that’s having problems it’s a brand new car I’ve called customer service tried to get them to buy the vehicle back as trying to put it as a lemon law but they had told me in the state of Hawaii the mileage has to be 23,000 but they’ve been making me run around back and forth to different auto shops my only vehicle that I have of course the mileage goes up customer service told me to make a case with Better Business Bureau so now I have a case going on with them to see what they can do for my vehicle I told them take the vehicle back it’s not right brand new car should not be having this kind of problems for one whole year that I’ve had it that’s all that I’ve been doing is going in and out of the shops and they keep telling me the same thing
I also have the loud noise when braking in reverse. I was just told to replace all rotors and calipers. 1500$$$! 2021 escape with less than 20,000 miles should not have this issue.
