Due to numerous supply constraints and problems with the first iteration of its molded-in color hardtop, 2021 Ford Bronco production has thus far struggled to keep up with demand. After taking over 160,000 reservations for the reborn Ford Bronco, FoMoCo admitted that it was going to take some time to fulfill all of the resulting 125,000 orders and that most – but not all – unscheduled 2021 Ford Bronco orders would be pushed back to the 2022 model year. However, it appears that 2021 Bronco in-transit inventory is improving significantly.
In its November sales report, Ford noted that 2021 Bronco in-transit inventory increased 23 percent over October as the SUV totaled 8,287 units of sales last month. That latter number has grown steadily over the last several months, increasing from 7,364 units in October, when in-transit inventory rose 11.7 percent over September.

This is good news for those still awaiting delivery of a 2021 Bronco, while customers that have had their order pushed to the 2022 model year due to various supply constraints won’t have to wait much longer either, as 2022 Ford Bronco production is scheduled to begin at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant on December 15th, 2021, as Ford Authority reported last month. Those that want to take delivery of a 2022 Bronco sooner can do so by ditching options such as the Towing Capability package, paint protection film, and the molded-in color hardtop, as Ford Authority reported last week.
The 2022 Bronco will bring about a host of changes for the off-road-focused SUV, including the addition of the Ford Bronco Raptor, Bronco Everglades, and Bronco Heritage, as well as two new exterior colors, a “Capable” front bumper, a roof rack option for four-door Sasquatch models, and dealer-installed tube doors, which will be available by the end of the year.
For 2022, customers can also pair the Sasquatch Package with Ford’s seven-speed manual transmission, as Ford Authority recently reported. Meanwhile, the Heavy-Duty Modular bumper is now available on every trim level, and the Wildtrak four-door has dropped its standard MIC hardtop for a soft top. Pricing for all Bronco models and some options are also set to increase in 2022, as Ford Authority recently reported.
We’ll have more on the Bronco soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.

Oh please stop. With Ford changing the Bronco ’22 allocation formula to favor the mega dealers at the cost of allocations to small town delaers some of us won’t even get a sniff of a build date until psooibly 2024. Ford promise to build all reserved Broncos before dealer stock is now a big lie. With my Oct. 04 2020 reservation my Bronco will be lucky to hit my dealers lot in mid/late 2024, and it has nothing to do with constraints. Prove me wrong if you can, oh please prove me wrong.
