The 2021 Ford F-150 has earned its fair share of accolades in recent months, including maintaining its spot atop the Q3 Kelley Blue Book Brand Watch Report’s most considered pickup truck list, as well as a KBB Best Buy award – an honor that the Ford F-150 is quite familiar with, having won it multiple times in the past. Now, on the heels of the 2022 Ford Maverick bringing home two KBB awards this week, the 2022 Ford F-150 has also won KBB’s Best Full-Size Truck award.
“The Ford F-150 has best-in-class towing and payload capacity, and it is known for smart, intuitive work solutions,” KBB said. “The F-150 also is tops when it comes to innovation, with no-compromise hybrid and electric powertrains, as well as the availability of an on-board generator.”
Kelley Blue Book determines its annual Best Buy Awards based on a year-long evaluation and testing of nearly every new vehicle available in the United States, along with data analysis that includes pricing, KBB’s 5-Year Cost to Own data, consumer reviews, ratings, and sales data. To be considered for Best New Model, a vehicle must be an all-new or redesigned and offer a strong value proposition to consumers based on pricing, innovation, and available standard technology and safety features.
In honor of the 2022 Best Buy Awards, Kelley Blue Book is also auctioning off its first ever non-fungible token (NFT) that visually shows the evolution of transportation from a horse and carriage to the Ford Maverick. The funds raised from that auction will go to American Rivers, an organization that aims to protect clean water and rivers across the U.S.
